oatmeal - not bad, it'll do in a pinch
mixed cereal - not unless you want to deal with a crying baby all night long
sweet potatoes - more please
applesauce - pretty darn good
bananas - no thanks
peas - keep your stinking peas

Oh, the gagging! When they're five, you figure they may have clued into the drama of such a move, but at this age . . .well, ya gotta figure it's sincere. Glad he likes the sweet potatoes, anyway. And heck, he's got lotsa time to broaden his palate, no hurry. :-)
